Every February at CurlyRed, we donate 10% of our proceeds to two worthy nonprofits!
This year our Garrett County recipient is House of Hope and our "beyond" recipient is Identity Access Project. You can read more about these fantastic non-profits below.
The resources of the House of Hope are primarily directed to short-term emergency situations, where quick response and flexibility are critical. Founded in 1978, this network continues its outreach as a caring community through the commitment of its members, who give in so many ways by staffing the pantries, answering calls one day a month, occasionally shopping, or helping with a situation when their particular talents are needed.
Identity Access Project (IAP), located in Baltimore, MD, provides assistance to disadvantaged populations who are missing some or all of their vital documents (government issued ID, birth certificate, etc.). IAP navigates the complexities and financial burden of obtaining legal documentation, giving individuals access to opportunities otherwise out of reach.
