Harvest House is a farm-rooted restaurant, bar, coffee shop, and gathering space in Friendsville, Maryland, born from our love of growing food, cooking, and bringing people together.
What started with a small family farm, a passion for agriculture, and a few trays of microgreens has grown into something much bigger. Today, Harvest House brings our farm directly to the table, with fresh microgreens and produce grown right here, local ingredients from farmers and makers we love, and a menu that changes with the seasons.
So as you can imagine, our team at CurlyRed was THRILLED and jumped at the chance to work with Haeli and Darryl to bring Harvest House's online vision to life. Especially because this project included two very exciting collaborations with the extremely talented photographer Jessica Fike (who provided the photography across the site) and illustrator Collen DuBose (whose work is found on their interior mural, on Harevst House apparel, and sprinkled across the site as well).

The entire process of creating this website was a delight: meeting and hearing from Haeli and Darryl, scheduling a photo and video shoot with Jessica and our team to capture content (including some heavy snacking), and exchanging illustration ideas with Collen. The final result is a vibrant, youthful, fun website with bold colors and fun typography that scrolls horizontally on desktop (a first for CurlyRed!) and is easy to navigate on mobile.
Here's what co-owner Haeli had to say about working with us:
Working with CurlyRed on our new website was such a wonderful experience! Mark, Kendall and the team really captured the heart of Harvest House and brought our vision to life in a way that feels true to who we are. We’re so excited to be able to showcase everything we do and make it easier for our community to connect with us. Thanks CurlyRed!
