Featured Client: Catonsville Emergency Assistance

Published: June 25, 2025

At CurlyRed, we love working with non-profits, especially when they are such a force for good in their community. In 1984, a generous woman named Alice March started a food pantry in her basement, which eventually became Catonsville Emergency Assistance. In addition to food assistance, CEA has grown to deliver additional services, including utility assistance and eviction prevention assistance. CEA marked its 40th year of serving the Greater Catonsville community (outside of Baltimore, Maryland) in 2024. Rev. Joe Miller, the head pastor of our long-time client New Hope Community Church, serves on the CEA board.

CEA reached out to us to create a fully custom and responsive website, incorporating their colorful, friendly branding and color palette. We then worked with their organization to incorporate custom photography of their volunteers in action, and created an icon set to convey statistics about CEA's impact and items needed, for food drives, etc. The board of directors have already gotten great feedback about CEA's new and improved online presence.

Here's what Executive Director Caitlin Kirby had to say when the new Catonsville Emergency Assistance website went live:

“I’m thrilled with our new look. And, a HUGE thank you to my board members/website design team. Y’all are rockstars and I am SO appreciative of all your hard work and dedication to this project.”
